let's make things better

Some researchers have discovered a compound which actually kills the AIDS/HIV virus, not just slows it down. Hooooooly crap!
linky
They still have to go through FDA approval and have other scientists do tests and stuff before they can say anything definitively, but that's great news!

talking > keeping things in

Buddy's mom runs an art gallery in Roswell. She really likes my work and is interested in me displaying some of my work. That's really cool!!
It sounds like she's interested in some of my studio shots like the match on fire, for example. Amanda has also asked me to shoot some more match photos. They're some of my favorite things to shoot. Fire might be appearing in my photoblog soon after this upcoming round of tests barge into my schedule and get kicked out.

I don't know what I'm still doing up. I've got hw sitting on my desk that I don't feel like doing. So it's been sitting there for a while while I do something else. Like write this. =)

I've always wished I had the ability to jump 100 yards. Football would be so easy!
Flying would be awesome too. So would teleporting.
When I'm driving down the highway, it seems so inefficient that I'm going one way where someone else is coming from. What if we could instantaneously switch places. I want to be where you are and you want to be where I am. Let's switch. Okay!
If we take that a step farther, what if we want to go somewhere else where there currently isn't anyone. Could we just teleport there? Hopefully one day!

I've got various things sitting around my room. It's not that it's messy, but I like seeing it there. For example, a quick scan around my room brings up things that evoke either good memories or good feelings. For example, passport, 70-200 tripod ring, camera, photoshop cs2 book, a pen which normally rides around in my pocket, a laser, documents on optics, etc
I would put it away, but then my room would be almost boring and too clean. I dunno.

Sometimes when I wonder what it'd be like to live in a tropical paradise and wake up to sunrises and watch the sunset every evening over the ocean. It'd be nice and all, but I'll bet it'd get boring pretty quickly. I'm pretty used to city life and without that stimulation, I don't know what I'd do.

I'm talking to Shay now. He was flown out to California for the first part of this week for a job interview with Altera. He just got back and is telling me about it. This is interesting..
Here's a little blurb from our conversation:
SK Photon: welcome back
SK Photon: how was CA?
ShaeLekar: thanks...not bad...
SK Photon: heh yeah
ShaeLekar: not the most upbeat city...san jose
SK Photon: ah
ShaeLekar: lots of tech companies...lots of depressed looking engineers
SK Photon: really?
ShaeLekar: yeah...
SK Photon: what was it like?
ShaeLekar: like all the people walking through altera were all unshowered asian people...

I feel like babbling more, but it's probably a good idea to spend a few minutes finishing this hw and then going to sleep. 'nite critters.
